Two Males For Bail Court 37-year-old Jason Bryan Conlon of no fixed abode was arrested on the 23rd of August 2010 at 10:55 a.m. at a residence at Cambridge Place. His surety had been revoked.

37-year-old Jason Bryan Conlon of no fixed abode was arrested on the 23rd of August 2010 at 10:55 a.m. at a residence at Cambridge Place. His surety had been revoked.
A 33-year-old male was arrested on the 23rd of August 2010 at 2:45 p.m. subsequent to a breach of a condition of his recognizance relating to a domestic situation. It is alleged that the accused was on a condition of bail to wit to stay away from the victim’s residence. The accused attended this residence and was consequently arrested.

Committal Warrants
29-year-old Mark Pittelli of 92 Hugill Street was arrested on the 23rd of August 2010 at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Building after turning himself in for an outstanding Warrant of Committal.
26-year-old Daniel Purvis of 1001 Second Line West was arrested on the 23rd of August 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sault Ste. Marie Courthouse for an outstanding Warrant of Committal.

Shoplifter
47-year-old Edward Martel of 222 Albert Street East was arrested on the 23rd of August 2010 at 11:55 a.m. at the Zellers store at 306 Northern Avenue for shoplifting. It is alleged that the accused stole a quantity of freezer pops. He was arrested by store security and held for police. Mr. Martel was released with a court date of the 27th of September 2010.

Break and Enters
Break and Enters were reported to a shed in the 100 block of Malabar Drive, a residence on Allard Street and to a residence in the 900 Block of North Street. Jewelry was taken on Allard Street while it is unknown if anything was stolen on Malabar and North Street.

Mischief to Vehicles
Windows were smashed on several vehicles that were parked in the downtown area last evening. A dog carrier, a wallet, a purse, and an umbrella were reported stolen from these vehicles.

Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Motorcycle
22-year-old Andrew Burnett of 808 August Street was issued a provincial offences act summons for following too closely under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario subsequent to an accident on the 22nd of August 2010 at 11:01 a.m.. At that time it is alleged that Mr. Burnett was operating his motorcycle west on McNabb Street too closely behind a truck that had slowed to turn left on Melrose Avenue. The accused was unable to react in time and swerved right striking the rear of the truck. Mr. Burnett was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was treated for minor injuries while the 49-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was uninjured. Damage to the motorcycle was reported as light and there was no damage reported to the truck.
