Five persons to appear in bail court Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for attempt theft, possession of house breaking tools and breach of probation.
Five persons to appear in bail court

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 22-year-old male for attempt theft, possession of house breaking tools and breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused was attempting to break into vehicles in the Bay St and Brock St. area. When arrested by police it is further alleged that the accused had a screwdriver concealed in his sock. At the time of these offences the accused was on probation. Troy Bozowskyi, age 22, of 772 Wellington St. E apt # 1 is charged with one count of attempt theft, one count of possession of house breaking tools and one count of breach of probation.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a17-year-old a male for robbery and three counts of breach of recognizance. It is alleged that in the early morning hours August 17th the accused used bear mace to commit the offence of robbery. In the incident the accused sprayed the victim with bear mace and then took the victim’s guitar. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order with a curfew of 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. It is further alleged that on June 30th the accused once again breached his curfew. The accused is charged with one count of robbery and three counts of breach of recognizance.

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 21-year-old female for breach of an undertaking. It is alleged that on August 16th 2011, the accused changed addresses and failed to notify police of the change. Hannah Harvey, age 21 of 859 trunk rd is charged with one count of breach of an undertaking.

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 27-year-old female for breach of a conditional sentence and theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Sears Store in the Station Mall and stole $190 worth of clothing. The accused was arrested by store security and turned over to city police. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on a conditional sentence order release with conditions to keep the peace and be good. Rose-Mary Pheasant, age 27, of 187 Hudson St is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000 and breach of a conditional sentence.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38-year-old male for breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused between August 12-13th 2011 the accused breached conditions of his probation order release by harassing his ex-common- law partner. The accused is charged with one count of breach of probation.

Male arrested for impaired driving

Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 25-year-old male for impaired driving. It is alleged that 10:15 pm last night the accused was operating his motor vehicle on Queen St. W. When spoken to by police officers observed that the accused was impaired by alcohol. A breathalyzer demand was made of the accused but he refused to provide a breath sample. Rocky Robitaille, age 25, of 672 Lennox Ave is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of refusing to provide a breath sample. Mr. Robitaille is to appear in court on September 26th at 9:00 am.

Mischief

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received five complaints of vehicles being damaged yesterday. The vehicles were parked in the 100 block of Wemyss St, the 200 block of Pim St., the 100 block of Elgin St., the 400 block of Albert St. E and the 100 block of Summit Ave.

Theft

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received four complaints of theft from vehicles in the following areas:
Two incidents in the 200 block of Pim St- electronics were stolen from one vehicle and unknown items from a second vehicle.

The 100 block of Churchill Blvd – a chain saw was stolen.

The 1000 block of Queen St. E. – a wallet was stolen.

Copper wire was stolen from a business in the 100 block of Industrial Court.

A bicycle was stolen from the 200 block of Pim St.

An iPod was stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Albert St. W.
