Eleven persons to appear in bail court On Friday July 29th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male for break and enter, theft, attempt theft and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

On Friday July 29th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 28-year-old male for break and enter, theft, attempt theft and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. It is alleged that on July 28th and 29th the accused broke into offices in the 500 block Queen St. E., the 700 block of Carmen’s Way and the 200 block of Conmee Ave. It is further alleged that on July 29th the accused entered three vehicles and attempted to commit.

The accused was arrested inside the office on Conmee Ave and when searched by officers 14 tablets of oxycodone were found on the accused. It is further alleged that at the time of these offences the accused was on probation. Raymond Gregoire, age 28, of 306 Korah Rd is charged with three counts of break and enter, three count of attempt theft under $5,000, one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and four counts of breach of probation.

On Friday July 29th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 35-year-old male for causing a disturbance, resisting arrest and mischief. It is alleged that the accused was causing a disturbance, on Blutcher St, by being drunk and yelling. It is further alleged that while being arrested the accused resisted the officers and then caused mischief to the police vehicle. Michael Paquin, age 35 of no fixed address is charged with one count of causing a disturbance by yelling and being drunk, one count of resisting arrest and one count of mischief.

On Saturday July 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 29-year-old-male for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common-law partner. Victim did not require medical attention. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Sunday July 31st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 40-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend. The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical assistance. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Sunday July 31st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 72-year-old male for assault and threatening. It is alleged that the accused threatened his wife and then assaulted her. The accused is charged with one count of assault and one count of threatening. Victim suffered minor injures but did not require medical assistance.

On Monday August 1st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 40-year-old female for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted her common-law partner. Victim did not require medical assistance. The accused is charged with one count of assault.

On Sunday Aug 1st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 25-year-old male for assault with a weapon and breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused threatened a male, known to him, with a machete. The police were called and the accused was arrested. At the time of the arrest the officers were unable to locate the machete. Trevor Seaton, age 25, of 364 Albert St. W. is charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation.

Early this morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 49year-old male for breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that on July 11th the accused breached conditions of his release order by not reporting to the John Howard Society. Robert Wilson, age 49, of 332 Wellington St. E. is charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

On Saturday July 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested three males for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a female and male person at a west end coffee shop. The male victim was transported to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment and was later released. The victims and accused are not known tom each other. Christian Patterson, age 18, of 422 Charles St. and Dylan Rouleau-Boyer, age 18, of 131 Churchill Ave are each charged with two counts of assault. A 16-year-old youth is also charged with two counts of assault.

Male arrested for impaired driving
On Saturday July 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 27-year-old male for impaired and over 80 mgs. It is alleged that the accused was operating his vehicle in the area of Central St. and McKenzie Ave. while under the influence of alcohol. Shawn Desjardins, age 27, of 26 Holden Ave is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80 mgs. Mr. Desjardins is to appear in court on Sept. 12th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for failing to provide breath sample
On Saturday July 30th members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 48-year-old male for refusing to supply a breath sample. It is alleged that the accused was stopped by police as a result of a Highway Traffic Act offence. Upon speaking to the accused officers detected alcohol on his breath and made a roadside demand. The accused refused to provide samples of his breath. Richard Bell, age 48, of 760 Second Line W. is charged with one count of failing to provide samples of his breath. Mr. Bell is to appear in court on Aug 29th at 9:00 am.

Male arrested for mischief
On Sunday Aug 1st members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 23-year-old male for mischief. It is alleged that the accused male smashed the window of a business in the 700 block of Pine St. It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on probation. Curtis St. Pierre, age 23, of 20 Grosvenor St. is charged with one count of mischief and one count of breach of probation. Mr. St. Pierre is to appear in court on Sept 12th at 9:00 am.

Robbery
On Sunday July 31st at approximately 2:00 am a lone male armed with a handgun entered the Domino’s Pizza, 317 Northern Ave and robbed the attendants. During the robbery the victim was struck on the side of the head with the gun. The suspect obtained a quantity of cash and fled the store. The suspect is described as:
Male, 5’6” tall, 160 -170 lbs, wearing a black mask, a grey hoodie and black striped pants. Victim was treated for minor injuries.

Break and enter
A garage was entered in the 100 block of Wellington St. E. – fishing equipment was stolen.

An office in the 100 block of Corey Ave was entered- a purse was stolen.

Just after midnight today three youths broke into Sir James Dunn School, 1601 wellington St. E. The suspects were last seen running east on wellington St. towards Shannon Rd.
