Bail Court Appearance Arrests

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 44 year-old David Carrie of 20 Alberta Avenue and 52 year-old Anthony Vagnini of #10-511 Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury Ontario at 4:05 pm yesterday during a vehicle stop on Albert Street East. It is alleged that the males were found in possession of a small amount of cocaine. At the time, the accused David Carrie was on a recognizance order with conditions not be in possession of any non prescription drugs and was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of a release document. He is to appear in bail court this morning. The accused Anthony Vagnini was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of an undertaking and is to appear in court on the 10th of August.

Domestic Related Arrests

An 18 year-old female was arrested at a centrally located residence by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at around 12:40 am this morning. It is alleged that the accused was at the residence of a male that she is on conditions not to communicate with and also on curfew conditions to be in her place of residence from 7 pm to 6 am. As a result she has been charged with three counts of breach of recognizance.

A 30 year-old male was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 1:30 am this morning at a west end residence after responding to a domestic disturbance. It is alleged that the accused got into a verbal argument with his common-law spouse and assaulted her. He has been charged with one count of assault.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 41 year-old David Mackinnon at the station at 10:20 am yesterday morning on an outstanding warrant and charged him with one count of fail to appear court. He is now due in court on the 13th of September.

Female Arrested fro Breach of Probation

On the 9th of August at 8:20 pm officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 72 year-old Lucette Couture of 96 Adrian Avenue and charged her with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on that date she communicated and harassed a male that she is on probation conditions not to communicate with, harass or annoy. She is to appear in court on the 13th of September.

Break and Enter/Theft Reports

• A residence on Estelle Street was entered sometime between the 8th and 10th of August. A television and other electronics were reported stolen.
• A residence in the 200 block of Chambers Avenue was entered. Renovating materials were reported taken.
• A purse was reported stolen from a residence on La Chaumiere Place and mediation was reported taken.
• A red Reebok Titan mountain bike was stolen from the 1000 block of Leighs Bay Road.
• A rear licence plate was stolen from a vehicle on Dovercourt Road.
• A rock was thrown through a window of a vehicle on Millcreek Drive and some change was reported stolen.
