BREAK AND ENTER ARREST
Early this morning at 2:15, patrol officers arrested Mark Edward Reed, age 33, of Parliament Street. He has been charged with break, enter and theft as well as possession of stolen property, possession of house breaking tools and obstruction. The arrest was the result of a break and enter at a garage on Lennox Avenue. The accused and the property (a compressor and tools) were recovered on Shafer Avenue.

CAR ACCIDENT
Police were called to Rushmere Drive and Durban Road at 11:45 last night for a motor vehicle accident. A 1991 Mercury operated by John David Albury, age 17, was eastbound on Rushmere when it collided with a 1998 Plymouth operated by 40-year-old Gennaro Posteraro of Digby Crescent.

Both vehicles were severely damaged and 2 passengers in the Albury vehicle, Karen Hubley, age 17, of Airport Road and Leslie Webb, age 18, of Prince Lake Road, were taken to hospital by ambulance. Mr. Posteraro was issued a ticket for failing to yield.
