Domestic Related Arrest for Bail Court Appearance this Morning
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 21 year-old male at 1:5 am this morning at his residence and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend in a parking lot in the central area of the city. No injuries were reported.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 54 year-old Gerald Williamson of 863 Second Line West (rear apt.) on the 18th of April at 1:19 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of fail to appear for prints. He is to attend in court on the 30th of May.

Motor Vehicle Collision with Injuries
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Gibb Street at 12:03 pm yesterday afternoon that sent two persons to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injures. It is alleged that the driver of a Buick Century that was travelling eastbound on Eastern Avenue failed to stop for the stop sign and struck a Kia Sedona that had been travelling northbound on Gibb Street. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch and the Kia rolled and landed on its roof. The two occupants of the Kia were transported to hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and the driver of the Buick Century, 25 year-old Robert Caldwell, of 84 Pawating Place was charged with one count of disobey stop sign-fail to stop under the Highway Traffic Act. Both vehicles were severely damaged.

Break and Enter Reports
• A residence in the 400 block of Pine Street was entered on the 18th of April sometime between 11 am and 1 pm. The residence was ransacked and cash was reported taken.

• An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence on Hugill Street that occurred over the past weekend.

• An attempt break and enter was reported to a garage on Frontenac Street last night at 1:26 am. The alarm was activated and the suspect/s fled.

Theft Reports
• A U-Haul 6x12 enclosed trailer was reported stolen on Gore Street.

• Vehicles on Patrick Street and Lewis Road were entered. Cash and a Tom Tom GPS were reported stolen.
