Traffic stop leads to impaired driving charge

On June 2, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29-year-old Mila Hanka of Cambridge Place for impaired driving. 

In the late evening hours of June 2, 2019, police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Second Line West. Officers conducted a traffic stop and noticed a smell of alcohol on the accused. She was given a roadside test and registered a fail. 

She is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of blood alcohol concentration over 80. She was released on a promise to appear.
