DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
A 37-year-old male will be appear in bail court this morning after officers received a complaint of a domestic dispute yesterday. The female complainant advised the police of ongoing problems with her estranged husband that have been occurring over the last 8 months, with the incidents increasing in frequency as well as escalating in violence.

He has been charged with 2 counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of criminal harassment for repeated phone calls, one count of criminal harassment for repeatedly following the complainant and count of assault.


CAUGHT IN THE ACT
34-year-old Richard Kevin Witty of 147 Wallace Terrace will also be in bail court this morning. Around 2 pm yesterday afternoon, Mr. Witty was found inside a residence in the 100 block of 4th Line West by a homeowner who in turn called the police.

During the course of their investigation, patrol officers also learned that Mr. Witty had broken into another residence in the same area and stolen a set of keys, which were found on him. Mr. Witty has been charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of unlawfully in a dwelling house.


BREAK & ENTERS
City police are currently investigating two break and enters in the City. Yesterday a homeowner in the Root River Trailer Park had his garage broken into. It is unknown at this time what was taken.

A home in the 100 block of Creery Avenue was broken into yesterday as well. A preliminary check of the property by the homeowner indicates that the thieves made off with jewelry, coins, several play station games and 2 rifles. If you know who is responsible for these break and enters call Crime Stoppers at 942-7867.


TRANSPORT & CAR COLLIDE
Yesterday afternoon an officer from the Traffic Services Section was called to the intersection of Great Northern Road and Second Line East for an accident involving a transport and a car.

The driver of the transport truck, Larry Cumming of 285 Nixon Road, was turning left from Great Northern Road onto Second Line East when the transport’s trailer struck a car driven by Michael Makasoff of 99 Lawson Avenue.

Mr. Makasoff’s car was in the left turn lane on Second Line East facing westbound. No one at the accident scene required medical treatment for injuries. The car sustained severe damage to the left front and left front corner. Mr. Cumming was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with making an improper left turn.
