Three Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 34 year-old male on the 29th of September at 7:17 at a downtown residence and charged him with one count of assault, one count of break and enter and two counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 29th of September the accused broke into the residence of his ex-girlfriend when she refused him entry and assaulted one of her family members. At the time of the incident the accused was on a recognizance bail order with conditions that he not communicate with the victim an d not attend at her place of residence. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

A 38 year-old male wanted on an outstanding domestic related warrant was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service yesterday afternoon at a west end location. He was charged with one count of breach of a release document.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service attended at a domestic disturbance call overnight at a west end residence and while investigating the incident they discovered that the female was wanted on an outstanding warrant fro failing to appear in court. She was arrested and charged with one count of fail to appear court.

Male Arrested and Charged with Driving While Disqualified
Patrol officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 40 year-old Wayne Hewitt of 332 Wellington Street East last evening just before 8 pm after stopping and checking his vehicle on Sutton Place. When officers ran a check on him, they discovered that he was a disqualified driver. As a result he was charged with one count of drive while disqualified and is to appear in court on the 22nd November.

Male Shoplifter Arrested
On the 29th of September at 2:38 pm, Officers with the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 21 year-old Jordan Cimino-Williamson of #1-428 Wellington Street East on Andrew Street and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000.00.It is alleged that on the 29th of September at approximately 2:30 pm the accused attended at Zellers in the Station Mall and stole 5 chocolate bars. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 1st of November.

Thefts
• A red and silver 21 Speed, Mountain bike was reported stolen from Barber Boulevard.
• A licence plate was stolen off a vehicle on North Street.

Mischief Reports
• An election sign on Wallace Terrace was damaged.
• The back window of a vehicle on Pine Street was smashed out.
• A privacy fence was damaged on Balfour Street.
• A truck on McFadden Avenue was keyed.

Collision involving Pedestrian and Motor Vehicle Results in Charges
On the 29th of September at 9:37 pm officers attended at a motor vehicle, pedestrian collision on McNabb Street and Willow Avenue. It is alleged that a 63 year-old female pedestrian was crossing Willow Avenue in an eastbound direction, with the crosswalk signal activated, when she was struck by a Dodge car that was turning from McNabb Street onto Willow Avenue. The pedestrian was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The 17 year-old female driver was charged with one count of fail to yield to pedestrian.
