Male Arrested for Breaching Release Documents

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Gregory Pearce of 539 John Street on the 28th of September at 7:35 pm on Charles Street and charged him with one count of breach of a release document and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 28th of September at approximately 7:33 pm officers observed the accused in company of another male in the area of Charles Street. A check revealed that the accused was on a recognizance order with conditions not to communicate or associate with the male. Further, the accused was on a probation order with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Male Youths Arrested for Assault

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested two male youths, both 14 years of age, on the 28th of September and charged them with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 28th of September at 7:15 pm while at a local park, the accused males assaulted another male youth known to them by punching and kicking him. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result that required medical attention. One of the youths was also charged with breach of probation, as at the time of the incident the accused was on a probation order with conditions that he keep the peace and be good. Both are to appear in bail court this morning.

Theft Arrests

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 41 year-old Shawn Creedon of #4-188 Church Street at 5:20 pm on the 28th of September at Sears in the Station Mall and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the on the 28th of September at approximately 4:57 pm the accused attended at Sears a stole some cologne. He was apprehended by store security and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 31st of October.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 14 year-old male youth on the 28th of September at 9 pm and charged him with one count of theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 28th of September around 8 pm the accused stole a cell phone from a person known to him while at a local park. He is to appear in court on the 1st of November.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 27 year-old male was arrested by officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 7:10 am on the 28th of September and charged with two counts of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 27th of September the accused attended at the residence of female that he was on recognizance order conditions not to communicate with or to attend at her residence due to previous domestic related charges. The accused is to appear in court on the 2nd of November.

Theft Reports

• A 12 speed bike was stolen from North Street.
• A vehicle licence plate on Chapple Street was reported stolen.

Mischief Report

Construction equipment was reported damage at the new Community Centre site on Goulais Avenue.
