The following persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) On the 26th of September at around 9:35 am officers conducting routine patrol observed a stolen 1988 Dodge Dakota Truck in the area of North Street that had three male youths inside. The vehicle pulled into a driveway on Bush Street and when officers approached it, two males fled on foot. A 14 year-old male passenger was arrested at that time. After a short foot pursuit, the driver, a second 16 year-old youth, was arrested on John Street. Officers attempted to locate the other youth that was known to them, but couldn’t locate him at the time. The third male youth, age 16, turned himself in at the city police station later that evening around 5:48 pm. The vehicle had been reported stolen at around 5 pm on the 24th of September from the parking lot of Mrs B’s Pizza on East Street. All three males have been charged with one4 count of possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The two that were arrested at the scene are to appear in bail court this morning and the other youth that turned himself in is to appear in court on the 30th of October.

Break & Enter

19 year-old Lindsay Agawa of 192 Frontenac Street was arrested on the 27th of September at 1:30 am on Shafer Avenue and charged with one count of break and enter with intent. It is alleged that the accused along with the co-accused 20 year-old Keith Crack-mentioned in the 7 am release, broke into a residence on Wellington Street West. A witness had called the police after observing the two entering the residence by a window. When police attended in the area the two fled on foot. This female was apprehended walking on Shafer Avenue and the accused, Keith Crack was located and apprehended in a back yard on Shafer Avenue. The accused Lindsay Agawa is to appear in court on the 29th of October.

Two Robberies

1) 32 year-old Lori Legault of no fixed address was arrested this morning just before 6 am on Bay Street in connection to the two robberies at the Tim Hortons overnight. She has been charged with:
Two counts of robbery, one count of theft under $5,000.00, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of resist or obstruct peace officer and two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 27th of September at 12:15 am the accused attended at Tim Hortons on John Street wearing a dark sweater with the hood up, handed the clerk a note claiming to have a gun and a knife and demanding cash. No weapon was produced and the female fled the scene by cab with an undisclosed amount of cash.
It is further alleged that around 5:45am on this same date the accused attended at the Tim Hortons on Bay Street and once again robbed the clerk in a similar manner. The accused produced a note indicating that she had a gun and knife and she would shoot if she didn’t get anything. The accused fled on foot. Police attending in the area discovered that the accused was attempting to hide in a Lock City Milk truck that was parked near the store. When they approached she fled but was quickly apprehended. The accused struggled with the officers when being arrested and was found in possession of a cell phone that she had stolen from the milk truck. At the time of the incident the accused was on a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The clerks involved in the robberies were not physically harmed. The accused is to appear in bail court on the 28th of September.

Graffiti

City Police attended at Holy Family Elementary School on Rushmere Avenue this morning after receiving a complaint regarding the school and park area being spray painted overnight. Graffiti was spray painted on the west wall and on the day care shed as well. The slides in the park area were also spray painted.
