Domestic Related Arrest

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 38 year-old male on the 21st of September at 9:50 am on an outstanding warrant and charged him with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 12th of September the accused contacted his ex-girlfriend when he was on a recognizance order not to communicate with her due to past domestic related charges. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Two Males Arrested on Outstanding Warrants for Failing to Appear Court

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 20 year-old Eric Beer of no fixed address at 9:45 am yesterday morning at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 7th of February. He is to attend in bail court this morning.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 45 year-old Allan Gray of #3-185 Tancred Street at 3:33 am this morning on an outstanding warrant at his residence and charged him with one count of fail to appear court. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 17th of August. The accused is to appear in court on the 24th of October.

Male Arrested for Disqualified Driving

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 26 year-old Mitchell Waite of 21 St. Basils Drive on the 21st of September at 7: 12 am on Wellington Street West and charged him with one count of disqualified driving. It is alleged that at approximately 7:05 am on the 21st of September the accused was observed by police operating a 1993 GMC pickup on Peoples Road at a high rate of speed and when officers stopped and checked the truck on Wellington Street West they discovered that the driver, the accused, was prohibited from driving due to a consuming over the legal limit charge. He is to appear in court on the 25th of October.

Male Arrested for Possession of Stolen Property

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 52 year-old Glen Wilson of #12-102 Breton Road on the 21st of September at 3:12 pm at his residence and charged him with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 15th of July the accused attended at a local pawn shop and pawned two stolen gold rings.

The rings were reported stolen from a residence on Lake Street in early July and when the victim was checking the local pawn shops on the 20th of September he located the rings and called police. Officers investigated the incident and the accused was charged as a result. The accused is to attend in court on the 24th of October.

Theft Reports

• A licence plate was stolen from a vehicle on Bush Street.
• Approximately 50 buzzard birthday display yard cards were reported stolen from McNabb Street.
• A purse was stolen from inside a local grocery store.
