VIOLATED PROBATION CONDITIONS A 17-year-old youth will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested yesterday regarding an incident on August 30th.
VIOLATED PROBATION CONDITIONS
A 17-year-old youth will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested yesterday regarding an incident on August 30th. On the 30th, officers from the problem-oriented police unit were checking individuals to ensure that court ordered curfews were indeed being abided by.

When officers checked to ensure the youth was in his residence for the 9 pm curfew, he was not to be found. A warrant was subsequently requested. Yesterday the youth was arrested and charged with one count of breach of a release document.


TRESPASS BY NIGHT
21-year-old Shawn Reedy of 2-336 Albert Street East was arrested this morning in the City’s downtown area after alert patrol officers spotted the accused hanging around cars at 5:30 am. The officers recognized Mr. Reedy, who had been drinking, and a check revealed that he had a curfew, and was also not to consume alcohol.

Mr. Reedy went into a backyard to avoid the officers who followed him there. As the officers were arresting Reedy for breaching release orders and probation orders, he fled from them on foot. After jumping a fence with officers in pursuit, Reedy was arrested without incident and taken into custody.

Reedy will appear in bail court tomorrow and has been charged with one count of trespass by night, one count of escaping custody, one count of breach of a release order and 2 counts of breach of probation.


IMPAIRED CHARGES
Two females were arrested early this morning on impaired related charges stemming from 2 separate incidents. 22-year-old Christine Wynne, of 42 Cathcart Street was driving a car on Gore St when she was stopped by officers around 1 am this morning. Ms. Wynne was arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consuming over the legal limit.

At approximately 2:20am, Armandine Morissette of 394 Connaught Avenue was stopped by officers on Second Line West and was found to be impaired as well. Ms Morissette did not provide a breath sample to officers and has been charged with one count of impaired driving and once count of failing to provide breath sample. Both women will appear in court on October 18th.


DRUG BUST
Yesterday, officers from the Investigation Section of the City Police executed a warrant in the east end of the City. Officers located a small quantity of narcotics as well as a mountain bike that had been stolen from the Station Mall in June of this year.

Three persons were arrested at the address, including one youth. The youth has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of breach of probation, by failing to keep the peace. The youth will appear in court on October 12th.

An 18-year old male at the residence was also charged with one count of possession of stolen property, and one count of possession a narcotic. He will appear in court on October 18th.

A 23-year old male of the east end address has admitted to breaking into the Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant and stealing the safe, as well as stealing the bike from the Station Mall. This male was also to be found in possession of shotgun shells when on an order not to possess ammunition.

The 23-year old male has been charged with one count of breach of probation, 2 counts of possession of stolen property, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, one count of break and enter and commit an offence, and one count of theft under $5,000. He will appear in court on October 18th.

The names of the adults are not being released as it could identify the young person.
