The following three persons will be attending in bail court this morning:

1) 59 year-old Ronald Quin of no fixed address was arrested at 9:20 pm on the 12th of September at the Sault Area Hospital and has been charged with two counts of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused while at the hospital made threats to kill a doctor and hospital attendant with a shotgun. No gun was produced.

2) 18 year-old Victoria Petts of #308-441 Queen Street East was arrested on the 13th of September at 3:57 am at her residence on outstanding warrants and charged with one count of fail to appear court on June 18th and one count of fail to appear for fingerprints on the 5th of June. At the time of her arrest officers discovered that she was also on release conditions to notify her change of address and she has since moved to a new address on Queen West without notifying the Sault Ste Marie Police Service. She was further charged with one count of breach of a release document.

3) 39 year-old Dannie Mcdooling of 221 Albert Street East was arrested on the 12th of September at 2:24 pm on Albert Street East and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused attended at the John Howard Society on King Street on the 12th of September at approximately 1:25 pm and at the time he was under the influence of alcohol. The accused is on a release document with conditions not to consume any alcohol.

Female Youth Charged with Assault

A 15 year-old female youth was arrested on the e 12th of September at 8:45 am at her centrally located residence and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that on the 8th of September the accused was at a west end residence when she assaulted a female youth known to her by grabbing her by the throat and pinning her up against a wall. It is further alleged that on the 10th of September while in the smoking area outside at a local highschool the accused assaulted the same female victim by punching her numerous times in the back of the head and face and also kicked the victim while she was on the ground. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention. The accused is to appear in court on the 23rd of October.

Assault & Breach

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 12th of September at 10:56 pm on Goulais Avenue and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that the accused was on Great Northern Road when he assaulted another male youth known to him by punching him in the nose. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of October.

Impaired Driving

29 year-old Michael Johns of 189 Elgin Street was arrested on Hudson Street on the 13th of September at approximately 2 am and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over legal limit. It is alleged that city police stopped to check the vehicle on Hudson Street and at the time they discovered that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 15th of October.
