At 3:23 pm on the 2nd of October a 13 year-old male youth was arrested by city police at the O.P.P. station where he was in custody and charged with one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that on the 1st of October at approximately 4:45 pm the accused threatened to attend at a local high school and shoot it up. The threat was communicated to two other youths by way of computer via MSN instant messaging. One of the youths that received the message is a student at the high school. At the time he sent the message, the accused was on release conditions not to communicate with one of the youths.

Investigation Services have completed the investigation into this incident. The investigation revealed that the threat was general in nature and no specific school was named by the accused. No weapons were found when searches were carried out. Police believe that the accused does not have access to any weapons.
To clarify the above news release, the investigation revealed that the accused in this incident is a local high school student and the two youths he was MSN instant messaging were elementary school students.
The accused is currently in custody and is to appear in bail court this morning.

The following two persons will be appearing in bail court this morning:

1) 32 year-old Emily Yeomans of 40 Hynes Street was arrested on several outstanding warrants on the 3rd of October at 2:45 pm at her residence. She has been charged with two counts of fail to appear court, one count of fail to appear for prints, one count of breach of a release document for failing to report in to the Sault Ste Marie Police Service as a condition of release, and three counts of breach of probation.

2) A 47 year-old male was arrested at his west end residence on the 3rd of October just before 8 pm and charged with one count of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. It is alleged that the accused got into a verbal argument with his common-law partner at their residence, threatened to kill her and assaulted her by grabbing her by the throat. The victim received injuries that did not require medical attention.
Mischief Under $5,000

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested on the 3rd of October at 9 pm at his west end residence and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00 and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September the youth while at his place of residence, picked up a glass vase from the kitchen table and smashed it on the floor. At the time of the incident the youth was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He is to appear in court on the 30th of October.

Charged on Outstanding Warrants

A 38 year-old male was arrested on the 3rd of October at 10:33 am at the city police station on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that on the 30th of September around 1:30 pm the accused called his ex-common-law wife and spoke to her on the phone at which time he was on probation with conditions not to communicate with her. He is to appear in court on the 7th of November.

The following two break and enters were reported yesterday:
1) The O’Aces Bar and Grill was entered around 4:15 am on the 3rd of October. Several bottles of liquor were reported stolen.

2) A garage on Langdon Road was entered sometime between the 1st and 3rd of October. A chainsaw and tools were reported stolen.
