UPDATE ON TANKER CAR SPILL
The tanker car that flipped on its side yesterday just east of Bruce Street has been righted and removed from the scene. The derailment site is considered a restricted hot zone and will remain cordoned off while officials continue to work at the scene.

About 24 homes and businesses remain evacuated. The command trailer remains at the corner of Bruce and Wellington. Residents who were evacuated and have not yet checked in at the command unit are asked not to return to their homes without first reporting in. Officials will accompany the key holder to the residence and monitor for gas fumes.

Bruce Street remains closed until further notice to facilitate the investigation and clean up. Wellington Street has been opened to traffic however Bruce Street remains closed until further notice to facilitate the investigation and clean up.
