Break and Enter Two unknown males were observed kicking in the side door of a residence in the 100 block of Blake Street. Items taken in the break and enter included electronic equipment and a laundry hamper.

Two unknown males were observed kicking in the side door of a residence in the 100 block of Blake Street.  Items taken in the break and enter included electronic equipment and a laundry hamper. The culprits left the area in an older model red GMC Jimmy.

Theft

Mail Box stolen from the of Old Garden River Road and Black Road.

Tire slashed

Mischief: A bald male was observed slashing the tire of a vehicle in the parking area of Muios Convenience Store. The culprit left the area in a Silver Winstar Van with a canoe on the top.

Intoxicated male

Arrest: For the second time in a 24 hour period, police arrested a male age 49 of no fixed abode with liquor related charges. Police received a call regarding an intoxicated male in the downtown area laying on the street and causing problems for other citizens.  The accused was located near the City Bus Terminal and at the time was in possession of a 750ml bottle of Sherry three quarters empty.  The accused had been released at approximately 8:00 am this morning for similar liquor offences. The accused is charged under the Liquor License Act with having liquor in an open container in other than a licensed premises, residence or private place, further charged with being intoxicated in a public place.

Male wanted for Escaping Custody

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 23 year old Marouane ZATOUF.  While being transported on charges of Break and Enter and Theft under $5000.00 on the 17th of October, Mr. ZATOUF was able to escape from the custody of officers escorting him at the Sault Ste. Marie Courthouse.  Mr. ZATOUF was last observed running Eastbound through the rail yard just East of Bruce Street.   Mr. ZATOUF is described as a Middle Eastern male, 5’8” tall, 155 lbs with short black hair and brown eyes.  Members of the public are advised not to approach this male and to contact the Sault Ste. Mischief

On the 17th of October 2012 shortly before midnight, 50 year old Randall Smith of 48 Tilley Road was arrested for mischief on Allard Street.  It is alleged that the accused broke a window and damaged a light pole to an apartment building in the 100 block of Allard Street.
