12-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT
Officers arrested a 12-year-old last evening in connection with an incident in his home. He and his 16-year-old sister had been arguing prior to the alleged assault. The boy returned to the living room with a baseball bat and swung it at his sister missing her and striking the arm of the couch. The youngster has been released to appear in court on January 8.
15-YEAR OLD ARRESTED FOR BREAK & ENTER
A 15-year-old female was arrested at 12:40 this morning in connection with a break and enter to a residence in the 0-100 block of Albert Street East. The young woman was arrested at the scene and has been charged with one count of break and enter.
A break and enter was also reported at an apartment on Grace Street last evening where a JVC stereo system was stolen.
A Copernicus Street resident reports that ye back door to their residence was kicked in however it appears the home was not entered.
