Three Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning: 1) A 48 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of November at 11:00 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault.
Three Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning:

1) A 48 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of November at 11:00 pm at his residence and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that last evening the accused got into a verbal argument with his common law spouse at their residence and assaulted her. The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

2) A 47 year-old male was arrested on the 18th of November at 6:30 pm at the police station and charged with one count of threatening death or bodily harm and three counts of breach of release documents. It is alleged that on the 16th day of November the accused attended at his ex-wife’s residence and got into a verbal argument with her and threatened her. At the time of the incident the accused was on conditions not to attend at the victim’s residence, not to molest harass or annoy her and further he failed to notify his change of address.

3) A 39 year-old male was arrested on outstanding domestic related warrants on the 18th of November at 12:25 am at his residence. He has been charged with one count of assault, one count of mischief, one count of fail to appear court, one count of breach of a release document and three counts of fail to appear court.

Impaired Driving Arrest:

24 year-old Nicholas Daniw of 120 Windemere Street in Thunder Bay, Ontario was arrested on the 19th of November at 2:31 am on Wellington Street West and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. It is alleged that around 2:27 am this morning city police on routine patrol observed a GMC Pickup proceeding the wrong way on Gloucester Street and when they pulled the vehicle over they found the driver, the accused, to be under the influence of alcohol and he was subsequently arrested. He is to appear in court on the 11th of January 2010.

Male Arrested for Trafficking and Proceeds of Crime Related Charges:

38 year-old George Wilson of 151 Wilcox Avenue was arrested on the 6th of November at 7:35 pm on McNabb Street and charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession of proceeds of crime. It is alleged that on the 6th of November at approximately 4:39 pm member of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team, the RCMP, the OPP Pocket Team and Patrol, during a drug investigation, conducted a vehicle stop in the Cambrian Mall parking lot near the corner of Great Northern Road and McNabb Street and at the time, the operator of the pickup truck, the accused George Wilson, was found to be in possession of large quantity of Oxycodone tablets and a large quantity of cash believed to be acquired through the proceeds of crime. The accused was subsequently arrested and is to appear in court on the 7th of December.

Shoplifting Arrests:

1) 47 year-old Franklin Muise of #5-597 Lake Street was charged on the 18th of November at 2:50 pm on Hudson Street and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 after he allegedly attended at the Kinky Fashions Store on Hudson Street around 2:15 yesterday afternoon and stole some DVD movies. The accused was apprehended by store employees and held for police. He is to appear in court on the 21st of December.

2) 42 year-old Lore-Lei Gabow of 235 Poplar Avenue was charged with one count for theft under $5,000.00 on the 18th of November at 3:53 pm. It is alleged that on the 18th of November at 3:26 pm the accused attended at Dean’s Food Basics on Pine Street and stole some meat items. The accused was apprehended by security and held for police. She is to appear in court on the 21st of December.

3) 19 year-old Diana Wise, 19 year-old Ashley Lewis both of 1000 Pine Street and a 17 year-old male youth were all arrested on the 18th of November at 8:40 pm and all charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that the three accused persons attended at the Wal-Mart Store yesterday around 6:25 pm and stole some items. They were apprehended by security and held for police. The adults are to appear in court on the 7th of December and the Young Offender is to appear on the 8th of December.

Property Crimes:

Break and Enter Report:


A storage garage at Avery Construction on Second Line West was entered last night around 6:55 pm. The alarm was activated and police attended, searched the area with negative results. It is not known if anything was taken at this time.

Theft Reports:

• A BMX bike was stolen from Brown Street.
• A wallet was reported stolen and the Court House yesterday.
• Licence plates were reported stolen off a vehicle on Second Line West.

Mischief Reports:

• Graffiti was found on the Sault Theatre Workshop building and on Bayview Lanes.
• A rear window and three tires of a vehicle were slashed in the 500 block of Second Line West.
