Missing 11 Year Old Located

Missing person Nolan Covell age 11 was located by Sault Ste. Marie Police Service officers in the downtown area this morning at approximately 10:30 a.m. He was unharmed and has been returned to his caregivers. We would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in locating this missing youth.

Caught on Outstanding Charges

A 38 year-old male from St. Catherines Ontario that was wanted on an outstanding province-wide warrant from Niagra Region was arrested at around 4:15 pm yesterday on Albert Street East. The male is charged with one count of sexual interference, one count of sexual assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm. This male will be returned to Niagra Region later today.

Three Youths Arrested For Trafficking

A 15 year-old male and two 17 year-old males were arrested yesterday evening just before 6 pm in a rear parking lot located behind the Fairgrounds on Northern Avenue. All three have been charged with one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance. Police received information that the three were selling drugs from a vehicle in that area. It is alleged that when the police located and checked the vehicle and the youths they were found in possession of approximately 1 gram of cannabis (marihuana), drug paraphernalia, including a digital weigh scale, rolling papers and scissors. The three youths are to appear in court on the 19th of June.

Female Charged with Assault

A 17 year-old female was arrested at the City Police Station just after midnight and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that last evening just before 10 pm while at the Fairgrounds on Northern Avenue the accused assaulted her ex-boyfriend by punching him in the face. The accused is to appear in court on the 20th of June.

One Break & Enter

There was one report of an attempt break and enter to a garage on Douglas Street.
