Domestic Related Arrest A 29 year-old male was arrested on the 21st of May at 6:55 pm on Albert Street East and charged with two counts of assault.
Domestic Related Arrest

A 29 year-old male was arrested on the 21st of May at 6:55 pm on Albert Street East and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged that on the 21st of May at approximately 3:30 pm the accused attended at the residence of his ex- common law spouse and got into a verbal argument with her and made threatening gestures with his fists towards her and her sister. When officers were investigating the incident, it was further discovered that the accused also assaulted the victim at her residence back in February by pushing her and grabbing her around the arms. The victim received non-life threatening injuries at that time.
The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Female Charged with Failing to Provide Breath Sample

25 year-old Crystal Petrocco was arrested on the 22nd of May just before 3 am at Canada Customs on Huron Street and charged with one count of fail to provide breath sample. It is alleged that on the 22nd of May at approximately 2:50 am the accused was stopped and checked by Canada Customs when entering Canada. The Customs officers believed the accused was under the influence of alcohol and when a breath demand was made, the accused failed to provide a breath sample. She is to appear in court on the 23rd of June.

Female Youth Charged With Assaulting Police

A 13 year-old female youth was arrested on the 21st of May at 7:45 pm on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of cause a disturbance, one count of assault peace officer and one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. It is alleged that on the 21st of May at approximately 7:40 pm the accused got into a physical confrontation with another female youth at the Midway Carnival on Northern Avenue. Police, who were in attendance on duty, observed the altercation and when intervening and attempting to arrests the females, the accused punched one of the officers in the head area two times. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The accused is to appear in court on the 17th of June.

The following break and enters were reported yesterday

1) An apartment on Terry Fox Place was entered sometime between the 8th of April and the 15th of May. Two 32” Toshiba Televisions, a small freezer, an RCA floor model television and some groceries were reported stolen.

2) A garage in the 200 block of Fifth Line East was entered sometime overnight on the 21st of May. Two four wheelers were stolen. Four wheelers described as a blue Kodiak 400 Special Edition and a 50 CC LEM, blue, yellow and red.

Police Seeking the Public’s Assistance with a Bicycle and Vehicle Related Collision

Traffic Services are requesting the public’s assistance with a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle that occurred on the 21st of May around 3:45 in the west area of the parking lot at the A & P Grocery Store on Northern Avenue. A 14 year-old male cyclist was travelling in a southbound direction through the parking lot when the mirror of a grey coloured pick up that was driving past, struck the cyclist in the shoulder area. The cyclist received minor injuries that did not require any medical attention at the time.
