Employee Charged after Internal Theft at Value Village: 56 year-old Daniel Trozzo of 382 Northern Avenue was arrested on the 20th of May at 1:48 pm on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00.
Employee Charged after Internal Theft at Value Village:

56 year-old Daniel Trozzo of 382 Northern Avenue was arrested on the 20th of May at 1:48 pm on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 19th of May while working his shift at Value Village, the accused placed a couple of boxes from the store that contained video games and skateboards at the back door area. After his shift, he pulled his vehicle up to the back door and put the boxes inside his vehicle. The accused was observed by store staff and video surveillance. He is to appear in court on the 29th of June.

Two Males Charged after Execution of Drug Search Warrant:
On the 20th May at 3:28 pm, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Services Emergency Services Unit (ESU) and Street team executed a search warrant at 85 Chapple Avenue, the residence of Daniel Favaro. During the course of the search, officers located 8.5 codeine tabs, 27.3 grams of marijuana, 2 digital scales, $285.00 cash and various drug paraphernalia. As a result, Daniel Favaro, age 27, was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Further, during the course of the investigation, it was determined that Favaro breached two conditions of his probation order, being keep the peace and be good and remain away from the residence, place of employment and place of education of a female that was also living at the residence. As a result, he was also charged with 2 counts of breach of a release document. He is to appear in court on the 29th of June. A second male at the residence at the time of the warrant, 20 year-old Devan Marasco of 531 Morrison Avenue was also charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance after being found in possession of a vial of cannabis resin. He is also to appear in court on the 29th of June. The estimated street value of the drugs seized was $755.00.

Bicycle Thefts:

Bicycles were reported stolen on Panoramic and Millcreek Drive yesterday. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service would like to remind the public to lock and secure bicycles at all times, even if left in their yards for a short period of time or overnight. They should also record the serial numbers or register all their bikes.
