STABBING IN DOWNTOWN AREA City Police Service is investigating a stabbing that took place at about 7:00 last night. The victim, 19-year-old Thomas Mattinas, says he was drinking at a friend's residence and then went for a walk in the downtown area.

City Police Service is investigating a stabbing that took place at about 7:00 last night. The victim, 19-year-old Thomas Mattinas, says he was drinking at a friend's residence and then went for a walk in the downtown area. While there, he was approached by three males and got into a fight with them.

It is possible that one of these assailants stabbed Mattinas. The victim could not recall all the facts at the time of the report. Mattinas, who suffered a small laceration to the left side of his chest, was treated at the hospital and released.

MINOR INJRUIES IN ACCIDENT
There were minor injuries at an accident yesterday afternoon at 12:52. Bruno Kallioinen was stopped for a red light, westbound on Second Line at People's Road. While waiting for the light, he was struck from behind. Mr. Killioinen, age 75, was not injured but the driver of the second vehicle, Doreen Rowland, age 76, suffered minor injuries.
