A reminder to those traveling to work that there may be some activity around 328 Queen St. east as a result of the structure fire last evening. If this is a route that you travel to work along you may want to choose another.

Bail Court Today

1) 24 year old Shawn Lionel Potvin, of 70 East St. will appear in bail court this morning charged with one count of breach of probation. Mr. Potvin was found in an intoxicated condition on James St. Potvin was found to also be on probation with a condition not to consume alcohol.

2) 42 year old Cheryl Ann Hernden, of 125 Lansdowne Ave will appear in court on the 20 April 2009 09:00 charged with uttering a forged document. It is alleged she forged a prescription for Endocet and had it filled unlawfully. She has also been charged with possession of a narcotic.

3) On the 19th March 2009 at approx. 01:57 am patrol officers observed a dodge pickup go through a red light at North and St. George’s. The vehicle which was traveling at a high rate of speed continued through a stop sign and another red light at Korah Rd. and Wallace Terrace. The vehicle was stopped and the driver Michael Joey Begin aged 37 of 7 Gladstone Ave. was arrested for impaired operation and consume over the legal limit. Begin was also found to be in possession of a small amount marihuana. He will appear in court on the 27 April 2009 09:00 am.

Property Crimes

Break and Enter


City police officers attended at a residence in the 300 block of First Ave. yesterday with regards to a break and enter. Nothing was reported taken.

Theft

A motor vehicle was entered in the 100 block of Great Northern Road yesterday and it is reported that a portable GPS was taken

A cab was parked in the 600 block of Pine St. yesterday and someone stole the keys to the vehicle as well as an I-pod nano.
