Youth Charged With Assault Yesterday afternoon City Police were called to attend at a residence in the east end of the city regarding to a family dispute. Upon arrival officers discovered that an assault had taken place.

Yesterday afternoon City Police were called to attend at a residence in the east end of the city regarding to a family dispute. Upon arrival officers discovered that an assault had taken place. As a result a youth was charged with Assault and Breach of an Undertaking. The victim, who was punched by the accused, did not require medical attention. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Break and Entered

City Police are investigating two break and enters that took place in the past 24 hours. One break-in occurred to a residence in the 100 block of Alden Rd. The second entry occurred to a vacant building in the 700 block of River Rd. There are few details at this time as to what if anything was taken in the break-ins.

Parked Vehicles Enter

City Police are also investigating two reports of vehicles being entered. One vehicle was parked in the 100 block of St. George’s Ave. E. and the other was parked in the 100 block of Jemmette St. It is not known what was taken from these vehicles. Once again the public is reminded not to leave any valuables in their vehicles.

Stolen Bikes

There were two reports of bicycles being stolen from residences yesterday morning. A resident in the 100 block of Gladstone Ave. woke to discover that thieves had stolen two of his bicycles and a resident in the 100 block of Reid St. also had his bicycle stolen. The City Police would like to remind the public to register their bicycles. It’s free and helps to return stolen bikes to their owners.
