Theft of $300

27 year old Elliot Michael Southwind of no fixed address has been charged with 1 count of theft under $5000. It is alleged that early on the morning of the 25th of June the accused was at a residence in the east end of town when he stole $300 from the purse of a female known to him. He left the area and returned later. Officers had been called and the accused was arrested and charged. He scheduled to attend court on the 28th of July.

Breach of Probation

27 year old Curtis James Pheasant of 240 Albert Street West has been charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, 3 counts of breach of probation order and 3 counts of failing to appear for court. It is believed that on the 25th of June just after 10am the accused was on St James Street where he was located by members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team. A CPIC check of the accused revealed he was wanted on numerous outstanding warrants for breaching his probation order and failing to appear for court. He was subsequently arrested at 10:25am and found to be in possession of drugs. The accused will be appearing in bail court this morning.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

24 year old Brian Christopher Allen Wing of 696 2nd Line west was arrested yesterday at 10:10am at his residence for outstanding warrants. He has been charged with 1 count of robbery, 2 counts of break and enter, 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime and 1 count of forcible entry. He will be attending bail court today.

Male arrested for possession of prescription drugs

44 year old Robert Allan Johnson of 772 Wellington Street East has been charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance. The accused was located on Queen Street by Gore Street and found to be in possession of prescription medication which was not in his name. The estimated street value of the drugs seized was $1260.00. He will be appearing in court on the 28th of July.

Break and Enter

100 block of Oak Park Crescent, home broken into in the early morning hours of the 25th of June. 2 guitars were stolen. Black Fender Stables and an FX Telecaster turquoise in colour.

Mischief

On Powley Road the window of a trailer was smashed out.
On Broadview Road a mirror was smashed out on a truck.
