One female to appear in bail court Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old female on two counts of breaching conditions of her undertaking release order.

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old female on two counts of breaching conditions of her undertaking release order. It is alleged that on Tuesday June 14th the accused contacted the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service property office to make inquiries. It is further alleged the accused was seen accessing an email account.

At the time of these two events the accused was on an undertaking release order to not access any email accounts and to not call the city police unless it is an emergency. Lori Silvano, age 36, of 601 Cooper St. is charged with two counts of breach of an undertaking.

Motor vehicle collision
Yesterday morning the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service received a call to attend at the intersection of Pine St. and Wellington St. E. regarding a motor vehicle collision. As a result of police investigation it was learned that a vehicle traveling west on Wellington St. E. disobeyed the red traffic signal. The driver of this vehicle, Henry Robinson, age 63 of 328 Frontenac St. was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to stop for a red light. The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Robbery
Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 3:30 pm a male stole a purse from a female walking on Gore St. near Mike’s Lunch. The suspect then fled north towards an alley. The female victim was injured in the assault and required medical attention. The suspect is described as: Male, in his 20’s, 5’9” tall, was last seen wearing dark jeans and a yellow shirt.

Break and Enter
An attempt break and enter was reported yesterday afternoon in the 100 block of Estelle St.

Theft
Cash was stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of First Ave.

A bicycle was stolen from the 300 block of Patrick St.

Two mini cars were reported stolen yesterday after from a trailer in the 500 block of Fourth Line W. The two mini cars, one yellow and one purple, are used by the Shriners at special events such as the Community Day Parade.
