Male Arrested for Impaired Driving:

45 year-old Frank Cripps of 143 Letcher St was arrested on the 9th of July at 12:53 am on Letcher Street and charged with one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Consume over the Legal Limit. It is alleged that around 12:51 am City Police observed a Chevy Cavaliere travelling westbound on Wallace Terrace that was swerving in and out of its lane and crossing the centre line. Officers stopped the vehicle on Letcher Street and found the driver, the accused, to be under the influence of alcohol. He is to appear in court on the 10th of August.

Male Charged with Threatening:

44 year-old Billy Joe Franklin Hodgkins of 1285 Allen’s Side Road was arrested on the 8th of July at 10:55 pm at his residence and charged with one count of Threaten Death or Bodily Harm. It is alleged that on the 8th of July around 10:30 pm the accused threatened to kill a male known to him on Allen’s Side Road. He is to appear in court on the 10th of August.

Female Apprehended by Homeowners for going through their vehicle:

30 year-old Celine Gagne of #12-102 Breton Road was arrested on the 9th of July at 3:21 am on Norden Crescent and charged with one count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and one count of Breach of Probation. It is alleged that at around 3:18 am this morning City Police received a call from a resident on Norden Crescent that was holding a female for going through their vehicle. Officers attended and discovered that the female had stolen some change from the vehicle and arrested her. At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Male Arrested on Outstanding Assault Warrant:

20 year-old Jordon Morrar of 36 Nichol Avenue was arrested on the 8th of July at 3:05 pm on Second Line West on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of assault. He is to appear in court on the 10th of August.

Domestic Related Arrest:

A 26 year-old female was arrested on the 10th of August at 5:49 pm at her residence and charged with Assault with a Weapon. It is alleged that on the 8th of July around 3:15 pm while in the parking lot of the Court House on Queen Street East the accused jabbed her ex-boyfriend in the face with a pen and then threw it at him. She is to appear in court on the 10th of August.

Property Crimes:

Mischief Report: Four tires on a vehicle in the 1000 block of Third Line West were slashed overnight.

Theft Report: A 2.5 horse power Mercury outboard motor was stolen from a residence property on Alagash Drive.
