Two persons to appear in bail court At approx. 1:30 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at a residence in the 400 block of Charles St. regarding a break and enter in progress.
Two persons to appear in bail court

At approx. 1:30 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service attended at a residence in the 400 block of Charles St. regarding a break and enter in progress. Upon arrival officers located and arrested a 38-year-old female. It is alleged that the accused broke into the victim’s residence and when confronted by the victim she stabbed him with a knife. Victim suffered lacerations to his hand and head and was taken to hospital for medical attention. The injuries were not live threatening.

Cindy Diamond, age 38, of 161 St. George’s Ave. W., upper apartment is charged with one count of break and enter and one count of aggravated assault.

The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in this matter as it is believed that two other persons were involved in the break and enter. The two male suspects fled the scene with a small amount of cash. Both were described as wearing dark hoodies and jeans. One male was described as being approximately 5’7” tall and the second was slightly shorter.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Investigative Unit.

At approximately 3:30 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 30-year-old male for trespass by night. It is alleged that the accused male was inside a shed at a residence in the 400 block of Fourth Line W. It is further alleged that the accused was in possession of keys to a stolen vehicle. The accused was also arrested on two warrants for failing to appear for court and theft. Trevor Diboll, age 30, of 130 Albert St. W. is charged with one count of trespass by night, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of failing to appear for court. The accused was located with the assistance of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Canine Unit.

Two females arrested for possession of property obtained by crime

At approximately 3:30 am this morning members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 16-year-old female and a 31-year-old female for possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that the two accused were in joint possession of a stolen vehicle located in the 400 block of Fourth Line W. The 16-year-old female is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and will be appearing in court on Aug. 24th at 9:30 am. Christina Toneguzzi, age 31 of 155 Main St. Thessalon, Ontario is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. She will be appearing in court on Aug 23rd at 9:00 am. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service Canine Unit assisted in locating these two accused persons.

Male arrested for warrants

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male on several warrants. Ronald Stone, age 24, of 321 Albert St. E. was arrested for failing to appear for court, fail to appear for identification and two counts of breach of probation. Mr. Stone will be appearing in court on Aug 23rd at 9:00 am

Break and enter

A residence in the 100 block of Euclid Rd. was entered- electronics were stolen. A residence in the 200 block of Wellington St. W. was entered- jewelllery was stolen.

Mischief

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Panoramic Dr. was damaged.

Theft

Construction supplies were stolen from Canal Rd. Lawn ornaments were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Princess Cres. A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Dacey Rd was entered and electronics were stolen. A bike was stolen from the 500 block of Douglas St.
