Four persons to appear in bail court: 1) On Tuesday Evening at approx. 7:25 pm city police investigated a male carrying open beer bottles on Broadview Ave.
Four persons to appear in bail court:

1) On Tuesday Evening at approx. 7:25 pm city police investigated a male carrying open beer bottles on Broadview Ave. As a result of investigation officers learned that the male was on two probation orders with conditions to not consume or possess alcohol. Michael Nedeau, age 22, of 59 Atwater St. is charged with four count of breach of probation.

2) On Tuesday June 30th at approx 8:15 pm city police were called to Cathcart St. regarding an assault complaint. Upon arrival officers spoke to the male victim and as a result attended at a residence in the 100 block of John St. At this location the victim identified the male that assaulted him and police arrested the male. It is alleged that the accused, Shawn Herriman, assaulted the victim by punching him in the face several times. It is further alleged that once at the station the accused resisted police trying to place him in the prisoners’ cell, assaulted police officers, threaten police officers and caused mischief by ripping one of the officers’ shirts. Shawn Herriman, age 39, of 441 Queen St. W. apt. # 102 is charged with one count of assault, one count of resist police, one count of assault police, one count of threatening death and one count of mischief under $ 5,000.

3) Tuesday night at approx. 11:15 pm city police located a male on great Northern Rd. that was wanted on several warrants. It is alleged that the accused, James Southwind, failed to appear for court on 7th July 2008, 8th Sept 2008, and June 16th 2009. It is further alleged that the accused also failed to comply with conditions of Christopher’s Law. At the time of these offences the accused, James Southwind, was on probation. James Southwind is charged with three counts of failing to appear for court, one count of breach of probation and two counts of breach of Christopher’s Law.

4) On June 26th at approx. 1:30 am city police responded to complaint of an assault in the 300 block of North St. Upon arrival officers spoke to the male complainant who informed the offices that a male known to him had assaulted him. On Wednesday July 1st at approx. 12:30 pm city police located the suspect wanted for assault and charged him. Charged with one count of assault, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of breach of probation is a 16-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused assaulted the victim by punching him in the face. It is further alleged that the accused then produced a machete and began swinging it at the victim. The victim did not require medical attention for his injuries.

Female arrested for impaired driving.

On Tuesday June 30th at approx. 10:20 pm a routing vehicle stop, by city police resulted in the arrest of a 55-year-old female. It is alleged that the accused was driving her vehicle on Old Wallace Terr. When she turned left in front of the city police vehicle. Upon stopping the accused officers noticed that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. At this time she was arrested for impaired driving and upon searching her officers located a small quantity of marihuana. Janice Burch, age 55, of 358 Borden Ave is charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of drive over 80 mgs and possession of a substance. She will be appearing in court on Aug 10th at 9:00 am.

A vehicle parked on Indiana Dr. was egged.
A residence in the 400 block of Fourth Line E. had its mailbox damaged.
A trampoline in the backyard of a residence in the 700 block of Pine St. was slashed.

Thefts:

A vehicle was reported entered in the 700 block of Queen St. E. – unknown at this time what was taken.
A bicycle was stolen from the 100 block of La Chaumiere Pl.

Break and Enters:

A trailer was entered in the 100 block of Fish Hatchery Rd. – Unknown at this time if anything was taken.
A residence in the 100 block of Albert St. E. was entered. - Unknown at this time if anything was taken
A residence in the 100 block of Smale Ave was entered inn the afternoon of July 1st. Jewelry, a television and electronics were stolen.
An attempted break and enter occurred in the 1000 block of Wellington St. E in the early afternoon hours of June 30th.
