Queen St. Closure Reminder: Queen St.E. will be closed to vehicle traffic on Friday July 18th from 6:30 pm to 12:00 pm. This is to allow the Downtown Association to hold its annual late night shopping event.

Queen St.E. will be closed to vehicle traffic on Friday July 18th from 6:30 pm to 12:00 pm. This is to allow the Downtown Association to hold its annual late night shopping event. Vehicular traffic will not be permitted to travel along or across Queen St. between these locations.

Three persons to appear in Bail court:

1) Last night at about 11:25 pm city police attended at a west end location regarding a domestic assault. Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim and as a result arrested a 36-year-old male. It is alleged that the accused, during an argument with a female acquaintance assaulted her by kicking her in the leg. It is further alleged that he then pulled out a knife and threatened to kill her with the knife. Upon his arrest officers located a small amount of marihuana on then accused’s person. The male is charge with one count of assault, one count of threatening death, one count of possession of a substance and one count of assault with a weapon. The victim did not require medical attention.
2) Early this morning city police arrested a 16-year-old male and charged him with two counts of breach of probation and one count of personation. It is alleged that at approx. 2:00 am this morning, while officers were investigating the youth -that he falsely identified himself. It is further alleged that the accused breached his probation by being out past his 10:00 pm curfew.

3) On Thursday July 16th at approx. 1:15 am city police arrested a male for outstanding warrants and several new charges. It is alleged that at the time of his arrest the accused falsely identified himself to officers. Upon being searched officers found the accused carrying housebreaking tools. It is further alleged that on July 12th - 13th the accused stole a Volkswagen Beetle from an address on Pim St. As a result city police charged Tyson Seabrook, age 25, of no fixed address with the following offences:

1. One count of theft under $ 5,000.00 from an incident on May 19th - where it is alleged that he stole a 32” television from Wal-Mart.
2. One count of theft under $ 5,000.00 where it is alleged that he stole a 42” television from the Canadian Tire Store on July 5th.
3. One count of theft under $ 5,000.00 where it is alleged that he stole clothing from the Canadian Tire Store on July 6th.
4. Two counts of under $ 5,000.00 where it is alleged that he stole quantities of electronic games from a residence on Breton Rd. on July 13th and July 14th.
5. One count of theft under for the theft of the motor vehicle on July 12th -13th
6. One count of possession of property obtained by crime - the Volkswagen.
7. One count of breach of an undertaking by failing to notify police of a change in his address.
8. One count of personation.
9. One count of possession of housebreaking tools.
10. One count of fail to appear for court on Feb 6th, 2008.
11. One count of assault- warrant from January 2008.


Thefts

Thefts were reported at the following locations:

1. A residence in the 200 block of Sydenham Rd. - solar lights were stolen from front lawn.

2. A vehicle was entered in the 800 block of Frontenac St. - it is unknown at this time what was taken.

Mischief

A window was damaged at a residence in the 200 block of Bruce St.

A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Dauphin Dr. was damaged.
