Four Bail Court Appearance Arrests

Male Arrested for Mischief and Arson.

46 year-old George Desmoulin of Box 711 Pic Mobert F.N. Ontario was arrested on Kohler Street at 9:23 pm last evening by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and charged with one count of mischief and one count of arson. It is alleged that police received a call regarding the accused being in an intoxicated state and looking into vehicles in the Kohler Street area. When officers arrived they discovered that the accused had lit some flyers on fire in a mailbox of a residence on Kohler Street and then damaged a flower bed on the property. When officers ran a check on him they discovered was wanted on an outstanding warrant and he was further charged with one count of failing to appear in court for a theft related charge.

Two Females Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

1) 43 year-old Linda Martineau of #3W-346 Albert Street West was arrested yesterday afternoon on Albert Street West by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team and charged with one count of breaching a conditional sentence order.
2) 36 year-old Crystal Harvey of #207-441 Queen Street West was arrested by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 4:25 pm yesterday on Queen Street East and charged with one count of fail to appear court and one count of fail to appear for prints.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 47 year-old male was arrested by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 2:50 am this morning and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that overnight he assaulted his wife at their residence after a verbal argument.

Male Arrested for Aggravated Assault

19 year-old Kevin Addley of 49 Jemmette Street was arrested yesterday afternoon at 4:08 pm by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Investigation Unit last evening at 10:44 pm at the station and charged with one count of aggravated assault. It is alleged that on the 8th of July the accused assaulted a male known to him on Chambers Avenue. The victim received injuries to his facial area that required medical attention. The accused is to appear in court on the 16th of August.

Female Arrested for Theft and Stolen Property

48 year-old Michelle Casey of #102-20 Albion Street was arrested by the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Investigation Unit last evening at 10:44 pm at her residence and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and once count of possession of stolen property. It is alleged that on the 28th of June the accused attended at the Totem Pole and stole an amethyst rock. She is to appear in court on the 9thof August.

Female Shoplifter Arrested

18 year-old Rochelle Jones of 486 Bush Street was arrested at 11:57 am at Zellers on Northern Avenue and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged that she attended at the store at 11:55 am yesterday and stole some items. She is to appear in court on the 9th of August.

Residence Break and Enter

A residence in the 900 block of Queen Street East was entered sometime during the day yesterday and an Acer Laptop was reported stolen.

Mischief Reports

• A bus shelter on Dacey near Chambers was reported vandalized sometime overnight on the 14th of July.
• Two vehicles were reported vandalized on Bay Street and Queen Street East.

Theft Reports

• Three Vehicles were entered on Birkshire Place and Millcreek Drive. Change and a pair of gloves were reported stolen.
• Licence plates were stolen off a vehicle on Niagra Drive.
• A bike was stolen from North Street.
• Solar lights were reported damaged and some stolen from a property of a residence in the 200 block Fourth Line East.
