Evening Report:
Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:
City Police attended to a Business break and enter in the Second Line / Farwell Terrace area early this morning.
A rear door was pried open and once inside the culprit was able to gain access to a safe and make off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Further investigation revealed that the lone thief was wearing a dark hooded jacket and had his face covered.
Another break in was reported from a residence in the downtown area of the city. Sometime overnight, thieves broke into a side window of the home and made off with a Craftsman Skill saw and an Angle Grinder.

Arrests/Charged Persons:
A 36 year old male was arrested as a result of a domestic incident. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of July 12th, the accused and his girlfriend became involved in an argument which resulted in the male assaulting the female. As he was leaving he threatened to return with a gun and kill her. He will be appearing in bail court today.

20 year old Marissa Racicot of 324 Highway 17 East will be appearing in bail court today. It is alleged that on the 11th of July she became involved in a confrontation with persons on boardwalk in Sault Ste. Marie and during the course of that confrontation pulled out a knife and waved it about. It was also determined that the knife opened by centrifugal force making it a prohibited weapon. She is facing one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.
