Male Charged with Threatening Yesterday morning at approx. 8:40 Am City Police arrested a 26-year-old male and charged him with Threatening. It is alleged that the accused had threatened his girlfriend with bodily harm earlier in the morning.

Yesterday morning at approx. 8:40 Am City Police arrested a 26-year-old male and charged him with Threatening. It is alleged that the accused had threatened his girlfriend with bodily harm earlier in the morning. The incident took place in the downtown area at the victim’s home. The accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Assault & Breach

Yesterday morning at approx. 10:55 Am City Police executed an outstanding warrant on a 28-year-old male. The accused was wanted for Assault and four counts of Breach of Recognizance. It is alleged that in October of 2006 the accused, who was on release conditions not to communicate with his common-law partner, did contact her and subsequently assaulted her. The accused will be appearing in bail Court today at 10:00Am.

Break & Enters

City Police are investigating two Break and Enters from over night. The Medicine Shoppe, located at 59 Great Northern Rd. was broken into at approx. 12:05 Am this morning. It is unknown what if anything was taken as the alarm was set off and may have frightened the suspects away. Investigation is still continuing.

The second break in occurred at the “Beauty Of It” shop located at 80 March St. This incident occurred between 4:00 AM and 5:00 Am. Again it is not known what was taken.

Garage Fire

Yesterday evening at approx. 6:30 Pm City Police and the City Fire Department responded to a garage fire at 209 Balfour St. The fire, which is believed to have been caused by a wood stove, caused extensive damage to the garage. No one was injured in this incident.

Tires Slashed

There was one incident of mischief reported to the police yesterday. A truck parked in the 500 block of Fourth Line E. had all four tires slashed.
