The only arrest entry for bail court this morning is 48 year-old Colleen Trudeau of 43 Crawford Avenue.
She was arrested on the 16th of January at 12:35 pm at Canadian Tire on Great Northern Road and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00 and one count of fail to appear court from an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that the accused attended at Canadian Tire and stole three packages of women’s socks valued at $49.69. She was apprehended by store security and held for police. When police arrived and ran a check on her they discovered that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for court on the 26th of February on a drug related charge.

Two Drug Busts

1) Yesterday evening the Joint Forces Drug Unit, which is comprised of members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Section, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the RCMP and the OPP North East Region, along with members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Investigations Services and the Street Team, executed a search warrant at 2 Queen Street East –Apartment # 4. During the course of the search officers located a small amount of cocaine, 22 oxycodone tablets, 19 oxycontin tablets, 8 morphine tablets and 1 dilaudid tablet. Also located was a digital scale and packaging materials. The total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $1000.00. As a result, 39 year-old Claude Corriveau and 41 year-old Darlene Owl of 2 Queen Street East - Apartment # 4 were arrested at 11:08 pm at the residence and both charged with seven counts each of possession of a controlled drug or substance. They are to appear in court on the 25th of February.

2) On the 15th of January at 3:55 pm the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant at 108 Allard Street - Apartment #105. During the course of this search officers located 41 grams of marihuana and 1.9 grams of cannabis resin and digital scales. Total street value of the drugs seized was approximately $875.00. As a result, on the 16th of January, 26 year-old John McCallum of 108 Allard Street - Apartment #105 was arrested at the city police station after turning himself in and charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. He is to appear in court on the 25th of February.
