Male Arrested for Aggravated Assault 24 year-old Chicho Rubiano of #6-1001 Peoples Road was arrested on the 3rd of February at 7:56 pm at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged with one count of aggravated assault.
Male Arrested for Aggravated Assault

24 year-old Chicho Rubiano of #6-1001 Peoples Road was arrested on the 3rd of February at 7:56 pm at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged with one count of aggravated assault. It is alleged that the accused was wanted for assaulting a 37 year-old male at and east end residence in the early morning hours of the 23rd of January at and east end residence. The victim received non-life threatening injuries that required medical attention and hospitalization as a result of the assault. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

Domestic Related Arrest

A 44 year-old male was arrested on the 3rd of February at 9:55 am at the court house and charged with one count of breach of a release document, one count of perjury and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that a male placed on court release orders from previous domestic related incidents, breached the conditions of the orders by accessing the internet several times from the 28th of October to the 30th of November and by doing so he failed to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Further, the accused allegedly lied on a sworn affidavit in court on the 1st of February. He is to appear in bail court this morning.

22 year-old Scott Robinson-Maerz of #3-510 Morin Street was arrested on the 4th of February just after midnight on Macdonald Avenue and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that on the 29th of January the accused attending at a local pawn shop and attempted to pawn a stolen laptop computer that had been reported stolen in a break and enter to a residence on Weymss Street on the 12th of January. The accused is to appear in court on the 9th of March.

Property Crimes

• A vehicle on Sixth Avenue and one on Albert Street East had windows damaged.
• A garage on Millcreek was entered yesterday morning and a 12 speed mountain bike was reported stolen.
