The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently investigating a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Carmen’s Way and Conmee Avenue. The accident occurred at approximately 8:10 am this morning. Fire Services also attended on scene to assist in removing one of the involved drivers from their vehicle. The driver has been transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. The intersection was temporarily closed while officers were investigating at the scene but has now been re-opened to traffic. Traffic Services will be continuing the investigation and there are no further details to be released at this time.

Male Youth to Appear in Bail Court for Breaching Probation Orders

A 16 year-old male youth was arrested at 10:10 pm on the 24th of February in the downtown area and charged with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that police located the youth in the downtown area around 10:10 pm last night and at the time the accused was breaching his curfew. Further he was to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Male Charged with Disqualified Driving

54 year-old Roger Taylor of 56 Ferguson Avenue was arrested on the 24th of February at 2:35 pm on West Street and charged with one count of operate motor vehicle while disqualified. It is alleged that the accused was operating a Ford Crown Victoria yesterday afternoon in the area of West Street while he was disqualified. He is to appear in court on the 29th of March.

Break and Enter Report

A break and enter was reported to a residence on Bristol Place yesterday afternoon. Several items were reported stolen.
