Two Males Arrested on Outstanding Warrants:
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 42 year-old Stephen Kerr of 316 Pim Street on an outstanding warrant on the 23rd of February and charged him with one count of threaten death or bodily harm and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused threatened to kill a male known to him on the 17th of February. He is to appear in court on the 26th of March.
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 35 year-old Patrick Woodcox of no fixed address on outstanding warrants yesterday and charged him with one count of fail to appear court and one count of fail to appear for prints. He is to appear in bail court this morning.
Search Warrant Results in Arrest of Two Males in Relation to Drug Offenses:
On the 22nd of February at approximately 4:45 pm, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team, Emergency Services Unit, Patrol Services, and the OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at 173 Dennis Street, apartment 2, the residence of 53 year-old Russell Barton and 26 year-old Trevor Seaton.
Trevor Seaton was found to be in possession of 14 grams of cocaine, individually packaged in 19 baggies for resale at the street level and a large amount of cash, packaging materials and drug trafficking paraphernalia, a small amount of marijuana and one 80 mg Oxycontin tablet. As a result, Trevor Seaton was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance. At the time he was bound by the conditions of a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and was further charged with one count of breach of probation.
The accused Russell Barton was found in possession of a small quantity of cocaine and was also bound by the conditions of a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. As a result he was charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of a probation order.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $1490.00. Both accused are to appear in bail court this morning.
Domestic Related Arrests:
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested two male adults overnight in relation to domestic related incidents. Both are to appear in bail court this morning.
Break and Enter/Theft Reports:
- A business on Peoples Road was broken into overnight. Cash was reported taken.
- A business on Great Northern Road was broken into on the 21st of February overnight.
- Two vehicles were reported broken into overnight. A watch, a Garmin GPS, keys and medication were reported stolen.
