Impaired Drivers 1. Last night City Police were called to investigate a possible impaired driver. They attended at 548 Great Northern Road also know as the Future Shop and located a female in a vehicle preparing to depart from the parking lot.

1. Last night City Police were called to investigate a possible impaired driver. They attended at 548 Great Northern Road also know as the Future Shop and located a female in a vehicle preparing to depart from the parking lot. 50-year-old Kristine Ruggles of 183 Woodward Avenue has been charged with 1 count of impaired driving and 1 count of consume over the legal limit. She is to appear in court March 19th.

2. Yesterday Officers stopped a vehicle on Mark Street and upon checking the vehicle found the passenger 21-year-old Ryan James Boyer to have consumed alcohol. A check of Mr. Boyer revealed that he was bound by a probation order to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. The accused that resides at 33 Amherst Street was arrested and charged with 1 count of breach of probation and is to appear in bail court this morning.

Motor Vehicle Collisions Yesterday

1. City Police investigated 11 motor vehicle collisions yesterday. In one incident a 19-year-old male was charged with 1 count of fail to yield from private drive under the Highway Traffic act of Ontario. It’s believed that the accused was driving a 98 Ford when he tried to pull out of St. Mary’s High School parking lot and struck a 2005 Dodge which was west bound on Wellington Street East. No one was injured in the collision.

2. In a second motor vehicle collision a female operating a 94 Pontiac was traveling through the intersection south bound on Korah Road at Doncaster Road when her vehicle was struck by a 98 Mercury. It’s believed that the operator of the 98 Mercury was traveling east bound on Doncaster road and attempted to make a u-turn at Korah Road. The 82-year-old operator has been charged with 1 count of left turn-fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. No injuries were reported.

Forged Documents, Theft Under $5000 & More

60-year-old Bert Crummey of 171 Breton Road has been charged with 1 count of empty envelope fraud, 2 counts of theft under $5000, 2 counts of uttering forged documents and 2 counts of possession of property obtained by crime. It’s believed that the accused on or about the 2nd or 6th of February 2007 took checks belonging to someone he knew, forging them and then cashing them at the CIBC bank. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on the 19th of March.
