MALE ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT

A 22 year old male has been charged with 1 count of assault and 1 count of mischief under $5000. It is believed that on the 3rd of December in the early morning hours the accused became involved in a verbal argument with his common law wife. After being punched the victim called the police and the accused ripped the phone out of the wall and threw the computer to the ground. When Police arrived the accused had already fled from the home. The accused turned himself into the Police just after 3pm and will be attending bail court this morning.

MALE ARRESTED, DRUG RELATED OFFENCES

30 year old Terrence Arthur Mingo of 35 Princess Crescent, unit #4 has been charged with 1 count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance.
On December 1st at approximately 9:30pm the accused was stopped on North Street for speeding while driving a Hyundai car. A check of the accused and his male passenger revealed that neither had a valid drivers license. The accused could not provide an ownership or insurance for the vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently towed and the males were sent on their way. Later a check of the vehicle revealed a quantity of drugs amounting to one quarter pound of hash oil and 50 grams of cannabis marihuana. The estimated street value of the drugs was $3200.00. A warrant was issued for the driver and on the 3rd of December just after 10am the accused turned himself in to the City Police. He will be appearing in court today.

MALE ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS

26 year old Corey Vincent Peplow of 254 Wallace Terrace, unit C, was arrested and charged on outstanding warrants yesterday at 10pm at his residence. The accused has been charged with 1 count of possession of property obtained by crime, under $5000, 1 count of breach of probation and 1 count of failing to appear for court. The accused will be attending bail court this morning.

MALE AND FEMALE SHOPLIFT From ZELLERS

18 year old Shawn Mark Butt of 603 Second Line West, unit #5 and 18 year old Natasha Merisa Roehrig of 382 Northern Avenue have both been charged with 1 count each of theft under $5000. It is believed that on the 3rd of December at approximately 8pm at Zellers on Northern Avenue the two accused were observed by store security taking numerous items including a camera case, and a memory card. They then concealed the items by placing them into there clothing and then exited the store without making any attempt to pay for them. They were both apprehended out side of the store and held for Police. They are both scheduled for court on the 12th of January.

There were no break and enters reported over the last 24 hours.

MISCHIEF

- In the 500 block of Wellington Street East someone threw a rock through a vehicles windshield.
- In the 100 block of Dennis Street someone broke the rear drivers side window.
