Theft: 46 year old Paula Anne Derasp (A.K.A. Desrocher) of 844 Queen Street East, room #305 (The Diplomat Motel) was arrested on the 30th of December 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the Station Mall (293 Bay Street) for theft.
Theft:

46 year old Paula Anne Derasp (A.K.A. Desrocher) of 844 Queen Street East, room #305 (The Diplomat Motel) was arrested on the 30th of December 2009 at 12:30 p.m. at the Station Mall (293 Bay Street) for theft. It is alleged that the accused took two jackets from Mark’s Work Warehouse and left the store and mall without paying for them. She was detained by Station Mall Security officers and held for police. She was subsequently charged with theft under five thousand dollars and is compelled to attend court on the 08th of February 2010.

Breach of undertaking:

A 15 year old male young offender was arrested at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services building on the 30th of December 2009 at 9:35 a.m. and charged with breaching a condition of his release order. It is alleged that the accused had breached a condition of his Undertaking by failing to comply with an imposed curfew (to remain in his place of residence daily from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.). The curfew was imposed on the 26th of August 2009 subsequent to his release on the alleged charges of possession of stolen property and mischief over five thousand dollars. At that time the accused was a passenger in a stolen vehicle and had done extensive damage to the Sir James Dunn High School football field and an outbuilding. He was released on the current charge with a court date of the 02nd of February 2010.

Traffic accident resulting in charges:

56 year old Ann Marshall of Pictou Nova Scotia was involved in a motor vehicle collision on the 30th of December 2009 at 12:52 p.m. on Bay Street at Brock Street. It is alleged that the accused was operating her Mazda car eastbound on Bay Street in a centre lane and then proceeded to make a left hand turn onto Brock Street across the path of a ford truck that was adjacent to her in the curb lane. Upon impact, the ford truck was forced across the intersection and struck a pole that was situated on the northeast corner of Brock at Bay Street.
The accused was not injured in the collision; however, the 44 year old male driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure and then released with minor injuries. Mrs. Marshall was issued with a provincial offence act summons for making an unsafe lane change.
