Thefts From Vehicles

Yesterday City Police received 11 complaints of thefts from vehicles. These thefts occurred on the evening of the 27th and the early morning hours of the 28th of December. 9 separate vehicles were targeted in driveways on Avery Road. On Arizona Avenue 2 separate vehicles were entered. Thieves made off with loose change and small articles from these vehicles. City Police are reminding the public to lock their vehicle doors and not to leave anything of value in the vehicle. A well-lit driveway often deters culprits.

Breach of Undertaking

After investigating an unfounded theft complaint from 397 Elizabeth Street this morning at 1:45 am, City Police arrested the resident of that address. 39-year-old Christopher Connell was arrested earlier this morning after he contacted police to complain of a theft. When Police arrived at the residence they found Mr. Connell to be in an intoxicated state. The accused was on a release document advising him to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. Christopher Connell has been charged with 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation Order. He will appear in court this morning.
