Arrest:

On December 27, 2012 officers arrested a 24 year old for theft. It is alleged that the accused stole a credit card and a debit machine. The theft occurred on or about the 17 day of December, 2012. The accused then used the card at different Mac’s Mart stores. The accused was arrested and charged with 6 charges of theft under $5000 and will appear in court on January 28, 2013 at 9:00am.

Domestic incident:

On December 27, 2012 police arrest the accused, age 35 regarding a domestic incident.  It is alleged that on December 26, the accused slapped and later kicked the victim.  The accused was arrested for 2 counts of assault and will appear in bail court on December 28, 2012 at 10:00am.

Theft:

On December 27, 2012 at approximately 11:12 am officers attended in the 1600 block of Wellington Street East regarding theft from a vehicle. It is not known what was taken.

Arrest:

35 year old Cynthia Assiginack of 282 Bruce St. was arrested on outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court and breach of probation charges.  She will appear in court on 21 Jan 2013.

Break and Enter:

A break and enter was reported in the 1000 block of Wellington St. E. on 26DEC12. The home owner was out of town from the 20th of December and came home to find his side door kicked in.  Stolen was a .410 single shot lever action firearm, unknown brand, along with Nintendo games and money.

A break and enter was reported in the 200 block of Douglas St. when the homeowner returned from out of town.  The break and enter likely occurred Sunday evening while a relative watching the home was out.  Entry was gained into a locked bedroom through the window.  Taken was a jewelry box with jewelry and electronics.
