Break and Enters The Sault Ste Marie City Police are investigating several theft reports from the west end. It is believed that the thefts took place late Tuesday night to early Wednesday morning.

The Sault Ste Marie City Police are investigating several theft reports from the west end. It is believed that the thefts took place late Tuesday night to early Wednesday morning. In these incidents culprits entered a vehicle in the 200 block of Pointe Louise Dr., a vehicle in the 300 block of Pines Shores Dr. and stole items from a residence a in the 300 block of Pine Shores Dr. and a garage and vehicles in the 800 block of Town Line. Items stolen were a cell phone, three snowboards and four paintball guns. Anyone with information on these thefts or seeing any suspicious cars in these neighbourhoods is asked to contact the City Police Detective Office or Crimestoppers.

Domestic Dispute

Last evening at approx. 9:00 PM City Police arrested a 22 year old male for Assault and Mischief as a result of a domestic dispute. It is alleged that on Dec. 8th 2005 the accused assault a female, known to him, by pushing her into a wall. It is also alleged that at that time he also caused mischief to her vehicle. Last evening City Police located the accused arrested him on these charges. It is further alleged that upon searching the accused he was found to have a controlled substance on his person. The Accused is charged with Assault, Mischief Under $ 5,000.00 and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM.

Male Charged with Mischief

Early Tuesday morning City Police were called to The River Rock on Queen St.E. in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers were informed that the D.J. was causing a disturbance. Upon investigation it is alleged that the accused was causing a disturbance by fighting with several patrons and he also committed the offence of mischief by damaging a phone and a microphone belonging to the River Rock. Charged is 31-year-old Jeffrey Hill of 37 Princeton Dr. Mr. Hill will be appearing in court on Monday Jan. 23 at 9:00 AM.
