The following two persons are to appear in bail court this morning:

1) Arrest made in connection to the domestic related stabbing incident from the 18th of December:
A 39 year-old female was arrested on the 19th of December at 3:38 pm at a downtown residence and charged with once count of aggravated assault. It is alleged that on the 18th of December at approximately 10:30 pm the accused stabbed her common law boyfriend in the abdomen area at their downtown residence. The victim received serious non-life threatening injuries. The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

2) 45 year-old Denis Morin of 92 Smale Avenue was arrested on the 19th of December at 4:40 pm on Cathcart Street on an outstanding warrant and charged with one count of breach of a release document. It is alleged that the accused failed to report to the Sault Ste Marie Police Service from November 30th to the 7th of December as a condition of his release recognizance.

Charged for Threatening Death

27 year-old Gwendolyn Nadon of #309-138 EastStreet was arrested on the 19th of December at 12:45 am at her residence and charged with one count of threatening death or bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 19th of December at 12:10 am the accused threatened to kill a female known to her while they were in the laundry room area of the complex at 138 East Street. She is to appear in court on the 28th of January 2008.

Youth Charged with Mischief

A 14 year-old male youth was arrested at 6:15 pm on the 19th of December at the city police station and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000.00. It is alleged that on the 12th of December at approximately 9:04 pm the accused was leaving an apartment complex on Chapple Street when he smashed the foyer window by kicking it out. He is to appear in court on the 29th of January 2008.

Two Counts of Possession

48 year-old Grant Mullan of 48 Smale Avenue was arrested on the 19th of December at 9:35 pm on Queen Street West and charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance. It is alleged that on the 19th of December at approximately 9:20 pm city police checked a vehicle in the area of Queen West. When officers ran a check on the plates they discovered that the plates were stolen. The accused was also found in possession of a small amount of oxycontin without a prescription. He is to appear in court on the 4th of February.

The following mischief reports were taken yesterday:

1) A glass door at an apartment complex on Northern Avenue was kicked in and smashed sometime overnight on the 18th-19th of December.

2) There was an entrance window broken at the TD Canada Trust at the Cambrian Mall sometime overnight on the 18th-19th of December. No entry was gained.
