Three Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning: Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 39 year-old male last night and charged him with two counts of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm.

Three Domestic Related Arrests for Bail Court Appearance this Morning:

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 39 year-old male last night and charged him with two counts of assault and one count of threaten death or bodily harm.  It is alleged that on the 29th of November the accused threatened to kill his wife.  Officers investigating the domestic dispute also learned that the accused assaulted her in April of 2007 and April 2011.   

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested an 18 year-old male at 4:40 am this morning and charged him with one count of assault and one count of mischief.  It is alleged that on the 1st of December at approximately 2:20 am the accused assaulted his girlfriend and smashed a rear storm door at her residence.  The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 61 year-old male last night at an east end residence that was wanted by the OPP on domestic related warrants.  The male was charged with two counts of breach of an undertaking order in relation to communicating with a female that he was on conditions not to communicate with in January 2011. 

 

Break and Enter/Theft Reports:

  • A residence on Fish Hatchery Road was entered yesterday.  It is unknown if anything was taken. 
  • A residence on Irwin Avenue was entered last night.  Jewellery, cash and medication were reported taken. 
  • An attempt break and enter was reported to a residence on Grosvenor Avenue.

 

Mischief Reports:

  • A McNabb Street residence owner reported his home windows damaged by shots from a pellet gun at approximately 9:05 pm last night. 
  • Glass of a front door was shattered at local bar in the central area of the city.

Drivers should reduce speeds and allow themselves a little more travel time to arrive at their destinations.
