A 21-year old male will appear in bail court after being arrested and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend by punching and pushing her. The incident occurred in the City’s downtown area just after midnight. The victim did not receive any injuries. The accused was on probation at the time of the incident with conditions to keep the peace and be good.

Mischeif

22-year old Sean Nash of 408-108 Allard Street was arrested just before 2:30 am and charged with one count of mischief. It is alleged that the accused threw a sign at a car parked on Elmwood Avenue damaging the vehicle. The accused will appear in court on October 2nd.

Break & Enters

Between 2 am and 4 am on the 30th of August a home was broken into on Greenview Lane. Nothing was taken during the break in.

Just before 2 am this morning City Police attended at Rosedale Public School on Chapple Avenue for a break and enter. It is believed that some computer equipment was taken during the break and enter.

Theft Cases

City Police are currently investigating two separate theft complaints in which tires and rims were stolen from vehicles in car dealership lots. Both Boston’s Limited on Pim Street and Maitland Ford Lincoln on Great Northern Road reported the thefts yesterday morning.

City Police are also investigating the theft of copper wire from Great Lakes Power on Sackville Road.
