Four persons to appear in bail court Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 46-year-old male on a warrant for breach of a recognizance.

Yesterday morning members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 46-year-old male on a warrant for breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that on March 31st 2011 the accused failed to attend at the John Howard Society as directed by his recognizance release order. Steven Sharpe, age 46 of 425 Dovercourt Rd is charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

Last night members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 34-year-old female for breach of a recognizance. It is alleged that on August 22nd the accused contacted her ex-boyfriend while bound by conditions to not communicate with him. The accused is charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

Yesterday members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 35-year-old male for assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his ex-wife. It is further alleged that in March 2007 the accused again assaulted his ex-wife. The accused is charged with two counts of assault. The victim did not require medical assistance.

Yesterday afternoon members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old male for break and enter. It is alleged that at approximately 1:10 pm yesterday the accused attended at a residence in the 300 block of Second Ave and broke in. Neighbours observing the incident called police which resulted in the arrest of the accused. Nicolas Fronzi, age 20 of 424 Farwell Terr. Apt # 3 is charged with one count of break and enter.

Mischief

A city bus shelter was damaged at McNabb St and Brien Ave.

Two vehicles were reported “keyed” in the 100 block of Gibbs St.

Theft

A purse was stolen from a vehicle in the 600 block of Wellington St. E.

A passport was stolen from a vehicle in the 700 block of Pine St.

A bicycle was stolen from the 400 block of Queen St. E.

Solar lights were stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Retta St.
