On Aug. 23, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 46-year-old Ralph Carricato of Arbor Drive in relation to a theft.
It is alleged that the accused attended a store in the 400-block of Great Northern Road where he placed just under $500 worth of merchandise into a shopping cart and left without paying. Once he exited the store the accused was apprehended by store security. The accused then struggled with the security officers and attempted to get away.
Police attended and the accused was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of resisting arrest. He will appear in court on Sept. 25, 2017.
