The following persons will be appearing in bail court today. 1. Jack St. Jules, age 47, of 811 Peoples Rd. Apt 1. It is alleged that on the 28th of July, 2007 Mr. St. Jules attended at an address on Allard St. to collect debt owed him by a male.
The following persons will be appearing in bail court today.

1. Jack St. Jules, age 47, of 811 Peoples Rd. Apt 1. It is alleged that on the 28th of July, 2007 Mr. St. Jules attended at an address on Allard St. to collect debt owed him by a male. While at the address an argument ensued and the accused assaulted the victim by punching him in the face. The accused then threatened the victim and his family. On Aug. 1st the accused was located and arrested. He is charged with one count of assault, one count of threatening and two counts of breach of probation. The victim did not require medical attention.

2. Nicholas Pears, age 40, of 145 Pim St. Apt 4

On Aug 1st officers from the Joint Forces Drug Unit, which consists of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit, the RCMP and the OPP North East Region executed a search warrant at 145 Pim St. Apt 4. Once inside the premises the officers located a quantity of oxycodone tablets, oxycontin tablets, morphine tablets, cannabis resin and traces of cocaine. Also located at the residence were digital scales other drug paraphernalia and $ 2,500. in cash. The street value of the drugs seize is estimated to be $ 1,400. Three persons located inside the residence were arrested. All three persons were charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. Nicholas Pears was further charged with four counts of breach of probation. The third accused, Robert Cummings, age 29, of 161 Breton Rd. Apt 8 will be appearing in court on Sept 10th.

4. Chicho Rubiano, age 22, of 75 Edinburgh St. It is alleged that on July 31st the accused assaulted a male, damaged the victim’s vehicle and then committed the offence of arson by setting fire to the residence where he was living. It is further alleged that on July 30th the accused broke into a residence in the 1300 block of Wellington St.E and stole a quantity of cash, liquor and four firearms. The accused is charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of mischief, one count of arson, one count of break and enter, one count of possession of stolen property, one count of careless use of firearm and one count of possession of a weapon obtained by the commission of an offence.

5. A 13-year-old youth
It is alleged that on Wed. Aug 1st at approx. 9:30 pm the accused youth along with Aaron Blackned, Margaret Boyer and Shannon Jordan were on Whitefish Island. At this time they approached a 17-year-old male, known to them and assaulted him. The assault consisted of the four accused punching and kicking the victim. The victim was treated at the Sault Area Hospital for injuries to his back and ribs. The youth is charged with on count of assault causing bodily harm.
The co-accused, Aaron Blackned, age 20, of 144 Frontenac St. Apt 5,Margaret Boyer, age 40, of 172 Frontenac St. and Shannon Jordan, age 20, of 864 Queen St. E. Apt 36 will be appearing in court on Sept 10th.

Charged with Procuring Sex

Yesterday morning the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 40-year-old Jason Nisbet, of 181 Sand Bay Rd, Goulais River and charged him with one count of procuring. It is alleged that on July 19th at approx. 10:30 am the accused the accused attended in the area of Gore St. and Albert St. and attempted to procure sex from a
14- year-old female. The accused allegedly drove up to the complainant and offered her money for sex. Mr. Nisbet will be appearing in court on Sept 10th.
